Peter Frost

Peter Frost has camped for more than half a century. His first Cub camp was in a field beside a railway line in Linslade. That field went on to gain its own notoriety as the location of the Great Train Robbery.

Today, more than fifty years on, Peter is one of the best known writers and broadcasters in the camping field – having camped in more than three dozen countries all across the globe.

For twelve years Peter edited the biggest circulation monthly camping and caravanning publication in the world – the Club's own magazine. He is also author of the definitive Haynes Camping Manual. In 2006 he retired as Director of Communications at the Camping and Caravanning Club.

Today he continues to tour in either his Mercedes motorhome or his iconic VW camper and to write about his adventures.

Peter is the Secretary of State’s representative on the Broads Authority helping to run one of Britain’s wonderful National Parks, the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads.
